Fondazione Giuseppe Mazzotti
La Fondazione Giuseppe Mazzotti 1903, istituita nel 2002 su iniziativa di Giuseppe Bepi e Tullio Mazzotti, celebra la memoria del fondatore Giuseppe “Bausin” Mazzotti, di sua moglie Celestina Gerbino Promis, dei figli Torido, Tullio, Vittoria, nonché di Rosa Bovio e di tutti i ceramisti e artisti che hanno contribuito alla grande storia della famiglia Mazzotti e della sua manifattura.
Un centro per l’arte e la cultura
La Fondazione si impegna nella tutela e valorizzazione del patrimonio ceramico di Albisola, promuovendo mostre, pubblicazioni e progetti culturali. Cuore pulsante di questa attività sono il Giardino Museo Giuseppe Mazzotti e la Sala d’Arte Giuseppe Bepi Mazzotti, due spazi unici che coniugano tradizione e innovazione.
Inoltre conserva l’archivio della manifattura Mazzotti Giuseppe 1903, tutelato dalla Soprintendenza ai beni documentali della Liguria, e la biblioteca con oltre 1.000 volumi dedicati alla ceramica.
The Giuseppe Mazzotti 1903 Foundation, established in 2002 on the initiative of Giuseppe “Bepi” and Tullio Mazzotti, honors the memory of founder Giuseppe “Bausin” Mazzotti, his wife Celestina Gerbino Promis, their children Torido, Tullio, and Vittoria, as well as Rosa Bovio and all the ceramicists and artists who contributed to the illustrious history of the Mazzotti family and its manufactory.
A Center for Art and Culture
The Foundation is dedicated to preserving and promoting Albisola’s ceramic heritage through exhibitions, publications, and cultural projects. At the heart of these activities lie the Giuseppe Mazzotti Garden Museum and the Giuseppe Bepi Mazzotti Art Hall, two unique spaces that blend tradition with innovation.
Furthermore, the Foundation houses the archive of the Giuseppe Mazzotti 1903 manufactory, protected by the Liguria Superintendency for Documentary Heritage, as well as a library containing over 1,000 volumes dedicated to ceramics.
